Video Updated

Just a quick update, mainly to say the video got finally updated. I have been busy lately, but hope to devote more time to promote ourTVad in the next couple of days.

Yesterday we had 3000 unique visitors.
Of course being on fok.nl’ front page helped a lot.

I can’t read Dutch, so if anyone can help out on what was said there, I would be thankful.

One week old

Now that ourTVad is one week old, just a kick post to update our costumers and viewers.

10 frames have been sold so far and we had our first contact from a big company. Let’s hope we can close a deal to sell some seconds.

The frame rate issue

Some viewers emailed us saying the USA NTSC system is 30 frames/sec. Indeed, they have a point. However, it’s not a big issue when we consider that:.

• Our Video has a and will always have exactly 12750 frames.


• When showing on a 30 frame/sec broadcast, Video will end soon, since frame 12750 will be reached sooner, on the 7:05 (seven minutes and five seconds) and not on the 8:30 (eight minutes and thirty seconds)


• Please consider and use the frames page as a reference on a 25 frame/sec system. Keep in mind that on a 30 frame/sec broadcast, a 15 second block will have 450 frames and not 375. We will update that page soon to reflect both systems.

Our first Negative Reviews

That’s good. That’s very good indeed. I deeply believe most of persons behind the negative reviews are the ones who most believe the project have a very good, yet unbelievable, possibility of success. And that creates a lot of envy."Why didn’t I think of that before? No, not again!"

The fun part is that all those negative post come from blogs who cover topics like “novel and unusual ways of doing marketing online” or “breakthrough new business ideas”.

If, like they say, it’s a very bad idea, why did they take their precious time to report about it?

In the end, the old adage is still valid “even bad press is good press”. Keep hem coming and Thanks.

ourTVad launches

Yesterday was ourTVad launching day. Previously the site was only known among my friends and buddies. Yesterday I sent an email to Pete Cashmore from Mashable.com and next thing I knew my host was having trouble dealing with the amount of traffic.

I guess PRESS RELEASE will have to wait a little. We need to do some optimization adjustments to handle the traffic before entering full mode promotion. I expect it to be ready in a couple of days.

A word for the new advertisers who bought frames today and yesterday: please be patient on the update of the movie and the site with your frames. I am doing the best I can to have them in asap.
