The ourTVad name

Ever since I thought about the concept of selling time frame by frame, I had a hard time deciding on the name to choose for it.

On April 2006 I finally decided for a name: Adsflipbook. In the end the page would be like a Flip Book which would quickly flip images one after the other, and the images would be ads, so, it was a good name.

However, I was still not satisfied with it because this would be a Video and the name was complex and misleading. With “video” on my mind, I went after names with video on it. Of course all good ones were taken, but I manage to found a real great one: AdsTube.com. AdsTube image Instead of registering it right away, I went to the drawing board to see how the logo would look like. The next day (2006-10-02), when I went to register, It was gone. It was registered by no less than Doubleclick, who also got the dot net.

So, I had to find another name. And… what would this be? It would be an ad, but not any ad, an ad that would be on TV. So it was a TVad. A TVad made and belonging to whom? To all of us, of course! So, it would be OUR TV AD.

Seeing the person of the year (YOU) on Time made me feel real good. WE, the person of the year, now have OUR own TV ad.
